My Perfect Day, Part II

Idea Date: March 20, 2026

And you know what the crazy thing is?
I never had that day.
I only ever get to think about it — as a dream.

I shop for rods and tackle,
but I could never go.
I plan these trips in my head,
only when I ponder alone in my bed.

How come the idea of a perfect day exist?
Even though it’s not part of my experience.

Why do I believe such a day will come?
And when it does,
will it become my favorite day?

I hope that day never comes,
because only then,
I can recall My Perfect Day.
